This position acts as copy editor or proofreader on specific projects, rewriting unclear or non-credible passages in the manuscript according to established guidelines. The copy editor coordinates with editorial and production staffs, as well as marketing, to ensure all steps of a project are complete and that all checklists are processed accurately. The copy editor works with the supervisor to ensure all scheduling and coordination of product workflow is maintained and offers solutions related to production issues and schedules as needed. This position must work to ensure that all projects maintain LTP’s high standards of quality and brand identification.

Requirements: Liturgy Training Publications is seeking a bilingual copy editor with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or Journalism. The candidate must be bilingual, with the ability to read and write both English and Spanish proficiently. Candidate must be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, with knowledge of InCopy, InDesign and SharePoint; have experience in copy editing according to Chicago Manual of Style; and be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines efficiently. Understanding of Catholic theology and liturgy a plus.
