The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for an Assistant Director, Multicultural and Graduate Student Ministry. This position will work closely with the Latino Ministry chaplain to oversee the pastoral needs of Latino students, including retreats, liturgies, programming and new initiatives to help build and strengthen the Latino student community. One-on-one mentoring, leadership formation and building a network of support for Latino students are critical aspects of this position.
This position will serve as a resource person for multi-cultural students and supervise other members of the multi-cultural ministry team.
Responsibilities also include work with leaders of each of the graduate student groups to coordinate regular community-building opportunities. Will identify emerging pastoral needs of graduate students and develop initiatives and resources in response. Serve as Campus Ministry representative in departmental and university-wide committees and conversations regarding services and support for graduate students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Theology or related field.
In-depth knowledge of and experience in Latino culture required. Understanding of faith development of young adults required. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Ability to relate to diverse cultures and an understanding of interfaith and protestant traditions. Retreat and liturgy planning experience important.
